Shane West was born Shannon Bruce Westgarth Snaith on June 10, 1978, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to parents Dom Smith and Leah Catherine. His father was the owner of the drugstore while his mother worked as a lawyer. Shane grew up alongside two younger sisters Simone and a half-sister named Marli Ann.
