Early Life:
Sha EK was born in 2003 and was raised in the Bronx, New York. He has Honduran ancestry. The Bronx has always been a pretty dangerous place, especially to spend childhood in and nothing about that has changed over the years. That means as a kid Sha EK was surrounded by street crime and violence.
For a brief period, he tried to keep himself busy by practicing his basketball skills, but it wouldn’t last. After losing a championship game Sha EK went a little outlandish with disappointment, simply abandoning the sport altogether.
Troubles:
Around that time he decided to get involved in hustling at the age of just 13 years old. From that point forward violence followed Sha EK almost everywhere he went. He got involved in a beef with his former friend B-Lovee and K Flock.
B-Lovee and Sha EK both grew up together in the Bronx. However, it wasn’t fact Sha’s friend Ddot who introduced Sha EK to other associates like Dougie B and K Flock. At first, these guys were entirely cool with one another, and even collaborated on a few independent singles like “Back Out The Knocks”.
Soon after street politics came between them and now these former friends are on separate sides. Then there is rapper The Blockwork, the same artist who appeared with Sha on his breakthrough track “D&D”.
During an interview about a year ago, Sha implied that Blockwork had snitched, on one of their own crew and from there the field was on.
But there are other persistent rumors that Sha EK didn’t pay Blockwork accordingly for his feature on their hit song. When Blockwork’s manager hoped to live to claim that Sha EK was signed to him, Sha fired back.
Music Career:
At the offset of his rap career, Sha EK really didn’t take music all that seriously. His earliest experiences involved practicing freestyle with his friends like B-Lovee while living on the block.
But when Sha EK began to see the bodies pile up around him and as he lost more and more close friends, he knew he had to find a way to change things so that he didn’t wind up the same.
His music career started when his buddy Pj Glizzy took him to the studio and from that point forward he never wanted to leave. Before finding any type of real success Sha EK recorded his earliest singles under the name “Jiggy Man”. But none of those songs ever found an audience.
Around that time he was not getting any success in the music industry, he then switched to his regular speaking voice and increased his aggression a thousand percent. Then came the hard-hitting drill bars and suddenly people started listening to his music.
Before long Sha EK would also reclaim the name “Jiggy Man” by using it in the title of one of his most popular songs including Jiggy Man This, Jiggy Man That. Even his debut album was “JIIGYONJIIGY“.
Sha EK also signed a music deal around the age of 16 according to him. A few months later he received a big payday by signing a fat new deal. He spent that cash on a new house for his mother which is located the outside of Bronx because he knows he can’t stay there forever.
Sha EK continued to release music videos every week with titles like “Get Back”, “One in the Head”,
“New Opps”, “Too Oppy”, among others. He also started his own drill label named OGE which stands for Orignal Goons Entertainment.
