Christopher was born Ronald Walken on the 31st of March 1943, in Astoria, Queens, New York. His birth name is Ronald Walken, better known by his nickname Chris or Ronnie. He was raised by a Scottish immigrant mother Rosalie Russell, who is originally from Glasgow, and his father Paul Walken owned Walken’s Bakery in Astoria and was initially from Gelsenkirchen, Germany. Walken grew up alongside two brothers Kenneth and Glenn Wälken in the Methodist household.
