Dana Marie Perino was born on the 9th of May 1972 in Evanston, Wyoming to parents Janice and Leo Perino. She grew up in the state of Denver, Colorado.
While growing up in Denver she went on to study at Ponderosa High School before moving on to Colorado State University-Pueblo. In the mid-1990s Perino graduated from Colorado State University with a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications.
At the University she developed an interest in other projects and started working for several programs on public affairs and politics as a host which she served for several University stations.
