Nardwuar was born John Ruskin on the 5th of July in Vancouver, British Columbia. He was was to a mother named Olga Ruskin (née Bruchovsky), and a father named Vernon Ruskin, who was an engineer.
He developed an interest in the entertainment industry in his childhood. Nardwuar entered the speaking contest at school and managed to entertain everyone. That was the time he was in grade sixth in high school.
