Selma Blair was born Selma Blair Beitner on the 23rd of June 1972, in a suburb of Detroit, Southfield, Michigan. She was raised by a Jewish family with her father Elliot I. Beitner (Attorney, Labor Arbitrator), and a mother Molly Ann (aka née Cooke) Beitner (Judge).
